Hi, my name is "Kim the intern" as they call me here at
Sensible Edibles. I’m 17 yrs of age and started working in a wholesale bakery
to get an idea of what is to come of my future. Initially I surprised because
everything is not as pretty as it looks on tv. For example, we are used to
seeing such pretty décor and colorful kitchens, not here. Here, there are huge
commercial equipment’s and everything is fast past (unless your waiting on
something to come out of the oven, then your just waiting). I get a lot of
hands on experience which is really fun. Over the past few weeks I’ve helped
make chocolate soufflé, coconut macaroons, chocolate madeleine cookies, and all
sorts of buttermilk biscuits. One day, everyone was a lil busy so I was
assigned to make whatever I wanted. I made flan, I’ve perfected it and gave all
workers a piece to try. They absolutely loved it, they asked me to make it
again lol

Ok, found my blog and NEW INTERN!!
Google is changing everyday, its getting more and more difficult to access this blog.
But great news! We have an intern from The Middle College High School who will be working with us for the remaining of the semester. Our intern is an aspiring baker and we hope to shed a little light on the "real baking world" to our young highschooler!
She will post on our behalf for the upcoming weeks documenting her experience at Sensible Edilbes. So for future interns read up, literally up!!
